What are Frax Treatments?

You may be asking yourself what exactly Frax treatments are and why this may be applicable to you? Frax stands for Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing and the treatment involves the use of our Frax 1550 laser to effectively reduce the appearance of sun damage, stretch marks and any scarring concerns that a client may have. So, why should you think about getting Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing and what are the benefits? Let’s find out.

1. Prevention of any pain during treatments

Here at Beyond Beauty one thing that we ensure across all treatments we offer is that we provide optimal comfort to our customers and avoid any pain during the treatments being carried out. For our Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing treatments we apply a topical local anesthetic to the area that is going to be treated. This is to prevent any discomfort that may come from frax treatments. In addition to this we also use Frax 1550 which uses the SoftCool™ cooling process. This cooling process involves cool damp air being played onto your skin around the point of treatment to increase the level of comfort experienced with the treatment and ensure optimum effectiveness.

2. Our effective processes

Our customers want to see long lasting results that will give them the confidence and content their skin; this is something we are extremely passionate about. To ensure that the treatment is effective as it can be and that our patients are happy with the end results we recommend that a typical course of Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing treatments include 4 treatments and are roughly 3 weeks apart. Each Ellipse treatment will take roughly 30 minutes at our clinic. It takes roughly 60 IPL flashes to treat a patients full face and we recommend that you allow 30 minutes for each treatment as this also includes a consultation and the preparation of the patient's skin.

3. Clinically Safe and Effective equipment

We are proud to use clinically safe and effective equipment by The Ellipse. The Ellipse treatment that we use offers fast solutions with no scarring and is a non-surgical solution that is able to deliver effective and fast results for patients but also does this in a way which ensures there is no discolouration or hyperpigmentation of a patient's skin. There have been a variety of clinical trials conducted and document the safety and effectiveness of Ellipse and the treatments provided by them. Leading doctors carried out many trials prior to the launch of the treatment and gives our patients assurance as it is clinically proven to be safe and effective.

The studies that were conducted for the Ellipse clinical trials were published here which you can read through if you’d like to find out more about Ellipse

4. Effective Aftercare for Frax Treatments

Ensuring that a patient's skin is cared for before, during and after treatments is something that we are very passionate about here at Beyond Beauty. We recommend Adapalene Cream to be used after a patient's treatment has finished. It is important to remember that you may notice some areas of redness on the face following on from the treatment. This is nothing to worry about and is usually the result of sun-damaged skin and you may notice some pigmented spots will eventually turn darker and eventually disappear. The reason for this is because some of the bacteria takes longer than others to completely remove. It is recommended that you continue to use adapalene cream for some months after you have received the Ellipse treatment and this is also something that your doctor may recommend to you.
